Wow. The first review. Epic.
This was the kind of gum my friend and I were trying out when we came up with this whole blog thing. Pretty good, I think! It’s mostly green apple, but not the nasty sour kind. You kind of have to pay attention in order to taste the shifting flavors, but they’re there! At first, you get a tangy apple taste. After about a minute or two of chewing, it starts to fade into an intense burst of pineapple. It only lasts a little while before blurring back into the apple flavor, but it’s pretty cool!
Some kinds of gum claim to be able to change throughout the chewing experience, but completely lie. Take Wrigley’s Five gum, for example. One of their flavors is called Solstice, and it’s said to cause a sensation of hot and cold in your mouth. Hannah and I tried this together, and both agreed it sucked. Maybe it’s just us, but whatever. Anyway, after that ordeal, I wasn’t really expecting much from Trident Layers, but it was really good! Looking forward to trying the other Layers flavor, Wild Strawberry and Tangy Citrus.
